History

Medical Software Solutions was formed by Thomas Glodek MD, a physician informaticist. As CEO and Founder of Medical Software Solutions, Dr. Tom Glodek, launched the development of MDMOM - EMR to provide an EMR application that provides "Practical Use" functionality to the end user without getting in the way of delivering quality healthcare.  Dr. Glodek, a clinical informaticist and medical software application developer for more than twenty years, stated recently,  "We have witnessed  the EMR debacle unfold firsthand.   There are innumerable instances of EMR adoption failures over the past two years. Some sources cite a 50% failure rate. There is widespread end user dissatisfaction, and end user productivity has plummeted, in many cases 50% or more.   This has so severely impacted the ability of the providers to deliver quality healthcare, that more and more end users are switching from one EMR system to another searching for the right application for their needs. Some have switched multiple times.   We believe this is due, in great part,  to other EMR Vendors creating an urgency for providers to purchase an EMR  in haste  to meet meaningful use incentive payments and deadlines without due diligence to select a practical, intuitive, and affordable EMR application.  In many cases this has been accompanied by ignoring the needs of the providers by ramming expensive, IT support demanding,  non-intuitive, hard to learn and hard to use  legacy systems into the EMR marketplace to make sales and grab market share without a real concern for end user usability, efficiency, or productivity.  And we've heard  provider after provider state that their legacy EMR's are an impediment to the delivery of high quality healthcare."  

That is all about the change!  Supported by recent KLAS surveys indicating no clear cut market leaders in the small practice segment of the EMR market  and none in sight, we believe the time is right to launch MDMOM-EMR taking into account lessons learned to avoid the failures of the legacy systems.  The fully functional MDMOM- EMR application was designed by physicians and end users and built from the ground up to be intuitive, easy to learn, easy to use, and with a practical use functionality missing in electronic medical record systems today.
